Drawing on Givat Haviva’s vast experience and expertise in leadership formation and conflict resolution, the program aims at training students in the knowledge, skills and attitudes necessary for the promotion of a shared and inclusive society.
Throughout their two-year leadership course, students work on a weekly basis with leading experts in the field, and learn about socially complex real-life situations which are fast becoming the reality in many countries. Together with the faculty, students visit diverse and conflictual communities and witness the importance of trained leaders in the area of conflict resolution. Moreover, during their studies students gain an in-depth understanding of the role and power of civic society organizations.
For example, students participate in Humanitarian Relief training with the Natan International Humanitarian Relief Organization, an organization affiliated to Givat Haviva. The leadership program also connects students to the work of leaders worldwide and hosts guest leaders on campus.
