Welcoming Our First Class of 10th Graders

We’re looking forward to welcoming our new cohort of students for the 2021-2022 academic year. For the first time, our 11th and 12th graders will be joined by 10th graders! This is an exciting expansion of our student body and with it the opportunities GHIS has to make a positive impact on young leaders who will work together to achieve a shared society based on mutual responsibility, civic equality and a joint vision of the future.

This development is geared to encourage more Israeli high schoolers to enroll in GHIS and to prepare students for the rigors of the IB Diploma Programme, which is for 11th and 12th grade. Since high school in Israel is from 10th-12th grade, we have found that many outstanding students are reluctant to disrupt their schooling by changing schools in the middle. By offering a complete high school experience, we will be able to expand our student body, so that even more young people can learn about and participate in the building of an inclusive, socially cohesive society in Israel while receiving an excellent education.

David joined GHIS because he was looking for the right educational establishment to develop personally and professionally. As soon as he heard about GHIS, he realized that it suits his values.

“As someone who has always been committed to coexistence in Israel, I see GHIS as a great vehicle to bring young people together in an accepting and non-prejudicial way.”

As well as being a teacher, David is also trained in special needs education at all school levels.

David holds a joint Honors B.Ed.  in Special Education ages 6 to 21, and BA in Literature at Oranim College
