Our program has stood the test of time, demonstrating that building peace and commitment to shared society is possible even from within a region with entrenched divisiveness.
Our model achieved global recognition as the recipient of the UN prize for Peace Education for its longstanding work in promoting Jewish-Arab dialogue and reconciliation (1999), and we presently train nearly 5,000 participants per year on our campus in Israel from across local, national, regional and global levels.
A new generation of effective leaders for peace is needed to address the underlying causes of conflict and social division at its root.
To this end, Givat Haviva has designed a new Academy that will bring together promising young
people from diverse communities; optimizing their development as leaders for shared society through a unique approach that blends rigorous academics, collaborative and applied problem solving in real communities; fostering empathy, ethics and critical thinking skills across the board; and launching them into the next stages of university and beyond as a network of committed leaders for shared society across communities, sectors and regions.
